Danila’s story is probably the most “unsuccessful” one, but it is the one that will remain in my heart forever.

Studying was difficult for Danila. All of us together did everything we could so that he could “settle in” and receive an education in a British school: the teachers, the parents, Danila himself, and I. There were many small moments of joy when it seemed that everything was finally coming together, tears when it all fell apart again, and a great deal of waiting — hoping that the situation would soon change.

Some schools did more, some did less. Some people genuinely grew fond of Danila, while with others I constantly had to look for the right approach, travelling to meetings with headteachers and nurses.

Danila’s journey was difficult and unfinished, but there is no doubt that he learned a great deal and understood much about life.

I was happy to stand beside this family, these достойные, honourable people.

Our family would like to express sincere gratitude to Maryna Jenkins for her professional, individual approach and responsible attitude towards her duties as our son’s guardian. Thanks to her truly parental care and support, Danila received the necessary assistance in everyday matters, academic issues, and most importantly, medical care.

Our case was not simple: our son has Type 1 diabetes and required daily insulin injections. Maryna had the challenging responsibility of coordinating communication with the school on all matters — from organising meals to storing and administering insulin.

Maryna is not simply a guardian fulfilling contractual obligations. She is a person who sincerely and warmly cares for her students, pays attention to every detail, knows when to be firm, and always does everything possible — and even what seems impossible — for the child’s wellbeing, helping them unlock their potential and gain the most from their education.

Allow me to offer advice (this is my personal opinion): when choosing a guardian for your child, pay attention to reviews from parents whose children faced difficulties — academic, behavioural or health-related. It is one thing to be a guardian for a diligent and responsible girl, and quite another to support a complex boy with his own character and worldview.

Unfortunately, our attempt at studying in the UK was not successful, but I am sincerely grateful to Maryna for the persistence, professionalism and courage with which she handled our situation, defended our child’s interests, supported us, and helped us navigate the challenges of school life and the nuances of British mentality.

I would also like to highlight that Maryna is a versatile, engaging and communicative person with a wide network of friends and colleagues. Because of this, she can always find the right tutor, psychologist, or mentor in public speaking and drama for a child.
